Child Dedication is a special moment where parents commit to guiding their kids in faith, and the Thrive family pledges to support them along the way. It’s a shared commitment to help children find and follow Jesus.

Are you interested in dedicating your child? If so, we've put together a few FAQ's about Thrive's Child Dedication process and philosophy.
Many Christian churches practice Baby/Child Dedication instead of infant Baptism. A Child Dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes entire families, make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God's will and to raise that child according to God's Word and God's ways.
Child dedication is usually geared for children birth to 5 years. If your children are a little older, you may still want to dedicate your children. Just talk with us if this is the case.
At Thrive, we believe that water baptism is meant for a person who is old enough to believe in God and has the ability to publicly profess their faith in Jesus Christ.
No. Although the Bible records a couple of baby/child dedications taking place (i.e. - I Samuel 1), it is not commanded by God in any way.
We welcome any Thrive Partner family to dedicate their child with us. We simply ask that the parents and family understand the reasons why we do this and are prepared to make the commitments to help their child to grow in their faith.
No. We are thrilled to partner with your family in raising your children in a godly home. We will ask for an recent digital picture of your child and some basic information for the ceremony, that is all.
We ask that only the parents and siblings stand up front, but we encourage you to bring family and close friends with you to share this moment with your family. Single parents can ask a close friend or family member to stand with them, if they choose.

At Thrive Church, we believe children are a gift from God, created with purpose and a future in His plan. Through Child Dedication, we commit to guiding our children in faith, trusting in God's wisdom and promises, and teaching them to love and follow Jesus, while raising them to embody the fruit of the Spirit in their lives.
Practical ways to guide your children into a relationship with Christ include developing your own personal relationship with Jesus through prayer, Bible reading, and obedience, and attending church regularly as a family. Engage in conversations about what your children learn at church, foster Christian friendships for mentorship, encourage Bible memorization, and pray with your children daily while seeking growth through resources like books, seminars, and growth groups.
